This year VFW Post 2208’s dues will remain at the $25 amount.

Beginning next year, VFW National has increased our post’s

Our annual membership dues will therefore increase from $25 to $35
beginning with the next (2014) membership year.
Because of this increase, you may want to consider renewing as a life
member.
The following is the cost for a life membership.
Your age by 1 January:
Thru 30 - $425, 31-40 - $410, 41-50 - $375, 51-60 - $335, 61-70 -
$290, 71-80 - $225

If you decide to renew as a life member, leave at, or mail your check to
VFW Post 2208 along with your date of birth and we will sign you up.
This life membership can also be paid on a 12 month or 24 month
payment plan.
Contact Charlie Meier at vfwpost2208@hotmail.com or 319-239-2058
for information on the installment plans.
WAVERLY, Iowa- It's taken a long time, but an Iowa serviceman who died in Vietnam will finally be buried with
full military honors. Donald McGrane, of Waverly, was a Navy Aviation Anti-submarine technician on a
helicopter flying a search and rescue mission when enemy fire shot it down in July, 1967. McGrane and three
crew members died in the crash. Since then searchers found their remains, but it took years to identify them all.
Now all four will be buried together April 2nd, at Arlington National Cemetery.
This is probably the best search list
ever compiled about Vietnam.

It would take months to look at everything this site offers.
